COVID 19 Mask Update

Timberwolf Youth Baseball Families,

This message is to address the requirements for the wearing of masks. I’m sure many of you are aware that OHA and OSAA have issued statements that K-12 outdoor sports no longer require the use of masks.

We have been in contact with Tigard Tualatin School District (TTSD). We have just heard from TTSD that they will be following the guidance stated by OSAA on district properties.

Attached in the link is the document regarding the OSAA guidance that was sent to all superintendents, principals, and athletic administrators in the state of Oregon.

Please note the first bullet point as it relates to Outdoor Sports.  “…all previous physical distancing and capacity restrictions still apply”.

We are asking that if you cannot maintain social distancing as stated by the CDC and OHA, please wear your mask.

Please follow this guidance for wearing masks:

1. Wear masks when coaches/kids are in the dugout if they can’t maintain 6’.
2. If you’re in the field, on deck, batting, playing catch, or a spectator, masks are not required.

We appreciate your patience. Importantly, please be thoughtful and respectful to our volunteer coaches, umpires, and board members. They are doing their absolute best given the current circumstances. This is a situation none of us could have foreseen. Ultimately, it’s about the kids having the ability to play a game that we all love.

Thank you,
Timberwolf Youth Baseball Board
